Amazon SES Email Verification Process

If you are looking for an illustrative guide about Amazon SES Email Verification Process then in this tutorial you will learn step by step process of verifying your email address on the Amazon SES account.

It is compulsory to verify your email addresses on your SES account to send emails using Amazon Simple Email Services. However, in my case, I am using FluentSMTP by WPManageNinja on my WordPress sites to send emails using the AWS SES.

Also if you want to use FluentCRM which is a WordPress-Based self-hosted and powerful email marketing and CRM solution for your email campaign purposes, then you can use Amazon SES to send those marketing emails and save a lot of money as compared to other SaaS alternatives like MailChimp and ConvertKit.

I assume that you have already created an AWS account and generated the Access Keys to integrate your AWS services with various tools, if not then check our other tutorial just on that topic: https://toolonomy.com/aws-access-keys-creation/.

So let’s dive in…

Step #1

The very first step is the login to your Amazon SES Console following this link https://console.aws.amazon.com/ses/ and then click on the Emails Addresses link from the left sidebar menu link options.

Step #1 Click on Emails Menu Link from SES Home Page

Step #2

The next step is to click on the Verify a New Email Address button to add the email address that you want to verify on your Amazon SES account.

Step #2 Click on the Verify a New Email Address button

Step #3

Following the previous step now fill up the Email Address field then click the Verify This Email Address button to proceed to the next step.

Step #3 Fill-up the field then click the Verify This Email Address button

Step #4

As soon as you click the button you will see a popup message of Verification Email Sent which says that you need to go to your email inbox to verify the email for SES.

Step #4 You need to go to your email inbox to verify the domain

Step #4A

If you want to check the status then close the pop-up and check the SES Verification Status which should be Pending Verification as you haven’t done the verification yet.

Step #3A SES Verification Status is Pending Verification

Step #5

Now head over to your Email Inbox and check for the email sent by Amazon Web Services, next open the verification email then click on the verification link provided by AWS.

Step #5 Click the verification link on the email send by Amazon Web Services

Step #5A

As soon as you click the link on that email you will be redirected to an AWS page with the congratulations message for verifying your email address.

Step #5A After you click the link you will be redirected to this page with the Congratulations message

Step #6

Now the final step is to check the verification status, and to do that again click on the Email Addresses link from the left side menu of the Amazon SES Console just like the very first step of this tutorial, and check the SES Verification Status which should be Verified.

Step #6 Verification Status should be Verified on the SES

Conclusion

In this tutorial, I have covered the entire process of verifying an email address for your Amazon SES Account to use their Simple Email Services for the transactional OR/AND marketing email needs.

I believe you have found this tutorial helpful, if your answer is yes then consider sharing it with your friends and community who might also need some help to verify their SES email addresses as well.
