In this short tutorial, you're going to learn how to create AWS Access Keys step by step as you would require these credentials to integrate AWS with other products AND/OR services to leverage the power of Amazon Web Services.

I never used Amazon Web Services before but I'm planning to test a few products of AWS like Amazon Lightsail with BunnyShell and Amazon SES with FluentCRM to see how things work for me.

So without further talking let's get started with the tutorial...

Step #1

The very first step to creating access keys is to Sign Up for Amazon AWS Account using the following link as I'm assuming that you don't have an AWS account yet https://toolono.me/amazonwebservices.

But if you've already got an account then just login to your AWS Management Console and follow the next step.

Step #1 Complete the AWS Signup - SyncWin
  • Save

Step #2

After you log in to your AWS Management Console head over to the menu from the top right corner and click on the My Security Credentials link from the drop-down menu.

Step #3

Now click on the Users menu link from the left side of the menu bar and click the Add user button.

  • Save

Step #4

After that add a User Name to the dedicated field and allow Programmatic Access by selecting the checkbox then click the Next: Permissions button to proceed.

Step #4 Add user name and give Programmatic Access - Image - SyncWin
  • Save

Step #5

The next step is to select Attach existing policies directly among the other available options and then select the required accesses depending on your needs and the type of services you want to integrate, after that click the Next: Tags button which will appear as soon as you select any one of the access options.

Step #5 Select Attach existing policies then select access you need and click the Next Review button - Image - SyncWin
  • Save

Step #7

Now in this step, you can add tags by filling up the completely optional tag fields, and then click the Next: Review button to proceed to the next step.

Step #8

In this final step, review all the settings and permissions very carefully to reconfirm if everything is fine as per your configurations or not then click the Create user button to complete this process of creating a user for your AWS account.

Step #9

As soon as you create a new user you will get access to your Access Key ID and Secret Access Key which you need to download as a CSV file or copy somewhere else as this is the only time you're allowed to see and download the access keys.

These are the credentials I was talking about that you're going to need when you integrate any software OR/AND services with your AWS account.

Conclusion

In this tutorial, I have covered how to create access keys for your AWS account so that you can use them to integrate with other products like Fluent SMTP and BunnyShell.
